German test for immigrants and orientation course test

The goal of the integrations courses is to successfully pass the final examination. The final examination is comprised of a language test and a test based on the orientations course.

Integrations Course Certificate

The end examination consists of two tests:

the language test “Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer” (DTZ)

the “Leben in Deutschland“ test

The DTZ is comprised of a written and an oral examination. The written part lasts 100 minutes and consists of listening and reading exercises as well as writing short letter. The oral examination lasts approximately 15 minutes. During this time, you must introduce yourself briefly and talk with the examiners and another examination candidate about specific topics. With this test, you are able to prove that you have reached the language levels A2 or B1 of the Common EuropeanFramework. After successfully obtaining the B1 level as well as passing the test “Leben in Deutschland”, you will be awarded the “Zertifikat Integrationskurs”.

In taking part in the “Leben in Deutschland” test, you will have the possibility to demonstrate your knowledge of the legal system, social order as well as the living conditions in Germany necessary for naturalization. A minimum of 17 points are needed.

The „Zertificate Intergrationskurs“ provides many benefits. It certifies sufficient German language skills und essential working knowledge of society in Germany.
